Noor Jahan's fresh, slightly trembling voice is wonderful in this short, light piece by Ghalib. Within it lies an oft quoted couplet, which I was reminded of in the midst of a rambling chat with a friend seemingly in the final throes of ishqishq par zor nahin hai yeh woh aatish ghalib; keh lagayee na lage aur bujhaye na banay
... and then also of ...
ishq ek Mir bhari pathar hai, kaab tujh naatawaan sey utha hai?
Between the two I think I prefer Ghalib's. In anycase - enjoy the wonderful rendition by Noor Jehan.
