Perhaps less to do with the goodness of their hearts (not that i doubt them for a moment-bless 'em), but i'm sure that little 'warm waters of the arabian' question rather might have had something to do with it.
For all their brinkmanship, and belligerent advances, i kind off miss the commies-if only for their gargantuan 'portable' electiricity stabilizers and slightly unsettliging 1:500000 aviator maps of karachi.
