The zinda laash (yes, the living corpse)

Zinda lash dracula from lollywood When I was in lahore, getting my filmi poster from maula jatt done, I had heard some about the hotspot guy, but I did'nt realise what a big classic-lollywood film buff he was. This is a poster of his re-release of 'Zinda laash' (ie. the living corpse), a 1967 film by Khwaja sarfarz. Aurat raj womens lib desi style! A film review (and a short trailer) is can also be found on http://www.thehotspotonline.com/moviespot/bolly/reviews/xyz/zindalaash.htm Should your appetite for Lollywood's creative heyday not be sated, then there are more trailers to be had on http://www.bubonicfilms.com/. Personally I thought 'auurat raj' to be a very interesting concept. I bet those undepilitated power-suited womens lib. proponents could never have come up with something quite so potent. Its pretty kitchy, but unrepentantly so, and plus we should probably be celebrating a epoch when we were not afraid of being a bit eccentric - thinking a bit unusually, and most of all, taking things a little less seriously.

After Aurat raj, the reign of BB seems even more acutely anti-climatic.
