Fragments from the past

Harappa.com is without a doubt one of the best places on the net to read, watch and hear about the facinating history of South Asia. This is particularly true for the Raj period, harappa manages to find long forgotten fragments of a era that few amongst us could have know. And as those people who had lived through those times, slowly attrition, the site finds a space to tell their story, in their own words-plain and simple. I just love it. For 2004, they have added an Attia Hosain section- she was apparently a writer of Lucknavi extraction who spent most of her life post '47 in London. There is also an extensive collection of photographs from the Raj, peppered around the site.
